VICT3R webinar series wraps up successful first edition co-hosted by SYNAPSE
From January to July 2025, SYNAPSE proudly co-organized the first edition of VICT3R: Virtually Speaking, a dynamic webinar series that brought together scientific and technical experts to discuss key topics shaping the future of toxicology.

The series is part of VICT3R’s broader training programme, which SYNAPSE co-leads alongside Vrije Universiteit Brussel under the project WP10 (Dissemination and Sustainability), led by SYNAPSE. Our joint efforts aim to support knowledge sharing, skill development, and long-term impact across the VICT3R community and beyond.

Over the course of seven months, the webinar series featured 12 sessions − combining public events open to the wider scientific community and private sessions tailored to the VICT3R consortium. This dual format allowed participants to engage with both foundational concepts and practical project applications.

Topics ranged from SEND data standards and in vivo toxicology study design to study reproducibility, GLP and Computer System Validation (CSV), data curation and quality control, AI-driven methods, and use of the VICT3R data lake. Each session sparked valuable discussions and helped strengthen the project's scientific and technical foundations.

On behalf of the organizing team, we extend our sincere thanks to all speakers for their valuable insights and active participation throughout the series. Recordings of the open sessions are available to everyone on the VICT3R website: https://www.vict3r.eu/training/

Looking ahead, the second series of VICT3R: Virtually Speaking will launch in September 2025 with a renewed format. All upcoming sessions will be open to the public and will cover broader, cross-cutting themes relevant to toxicology, AI, data science, and regulatory science. We look forward to welcoming a diverse line-up of speakers, including VICT3R partners and external experts from related initiatives and other scientific domains.

SYNAPSE is proud to be a part of the VICT3R project, helping to shape and deliver its vision through strategic coordination of outreach, sustainability, and training activities.

VICT3R  is dedicated to reducing animal use in toxicology research. Aligned with the 3Rs principles—Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement—VICT3R aims to revolutionize the field by developing innovative Virtual Control Groups (VCGs) that not only enhance scientific outcomes but also uphold higher ethical standards.
